question for batty

Hi Batty,

In your list of ingredients for the Mineral Foundation it says it contains sericite and mica. Aren’t those the same thing? And for your Titanium dioxide, is it micronized? I’m curious about what I’m exactly putting on my skin.

Thanks!

Hi there!

Mineral Makeup FoundationTo answer your first question- There is a slight difference between sericite and mica. You are right in the fact that sericite is actually a type of mica. However, mica is listed separately due to the fact that the  Mineral Foundation uses two types (sericite and another mica that is use to give the foundation its colour/tone).

Sericite on the other hand, adds many additional benefits to the mix including: allowing the foundation to glide on smoothly, giving your skin a silky feel, helps with the “staying” power, and makes your skin look flawless all day by absorbing oils and preventing any creasing or smudging.

Second question- You can be rest assured that none of the ingredients we use are micronized. :)
